Erstmals wird hiermit das gesamte lyrische Schaffen des Autors im Zusammenhang vorgestellt. Heiner Müller hat an der Vorbereitung dieses Bandes noch selbst teilgenommen, Material gesichtet und geordnet. Es entspricht seinem Wunsch, daß diese Ausgabe dem Prinzip »brutaler Chronologie« folgt. Bitte beachten Sie: Der Band enthält zwei Gedichte, die nicht von Heiner Müller, sondern von Günter Kunert stammen. Es handelt sich um die Texte »Impressionen am Meer« und »Die Uhr läuft ab«. Der Fehler wird in der nächsten Auflage des Bandes korrigiert.
