Author Biography
Thomas Brunstrøm (1977) is an author, freelance journalist, film critic and podcast host - and real-life dad to Sally and Eddie.
Thomas and Thorbjørn used to live next door to each other in an apartment block in Copenhagen when their children were small. One evening on the balcony after a few (too many) glasses of red wine, they got talking about the amount of dull picture books they had to go through on a weekly basis to entertain their children. Why were dad's in those stories always so boring? They could not recognise themselves at all. And then the idea for Sally's Dad was conceived. And thank God for that, because they turned out to be right:
Sally's Dad is entertainment for both children and their parents in equal measure.
Thorbjørn Christoffersen (1978) is an illustrator, film director and animator. He worked as the character director on the popular Danish films Ternet Ninja (Checkered Ninja) and Terkel i Knibe (Terkel in Trouble). And he is the real-life dad of Sally's friend next door, Svend.
Babel-Bridge Literary Agency
Babel-Bridge specialises in translation rights representation world-wide on behalf of publishing houses and agencies. At Babel-Bridge, every single book is carefully selected for its potential ability to travel, be it for its universal theme, its commercial hook or stunning artwork, or indeed all three. Babel-Bridge represents mainly books from the Nordics and the UK, but we wish to grow the portfolio to include beautiful books that tick the aforementioned boxes from other corners of the world. To that end, Babel-Bridge will rely on close collaboration with subagents, who are strongly placed to identify the books that are most likely to travel, but where the rights holder lacks the network abroad.
