Camellias of China
by GUAN Kaiyun etc.
Description
Only cultivars traditionally cultivated in China or that were selected or bred in China and are considered as Chinese camellia cultivars, have been included in this book. As C. sasanqua cultivars have been widely cultivated and are commonly used as garden plants in China, certain C. sasanqua cultivars are included inthisbook. There are 801 Chinese camellia cultivars and species are introduced in this book. Among them, 439 are C. japonica cultivars, 175 are C. reticulata cultivars, 30 are C. sasanqua cultivars, 33 are Camellia spp. cultivars, 36 are wild camellia species and 22 are golden camellia species. Due to various reasons, 66 cultivars have no photos. Those cultivars without photos were collected as appendix in the book.
