Birds in Organic Gardens
The Great Adventure Book for the Whole Family
by Englbert Kötter, Barbara P. Meister
Description
Get involved and start doing something for the endangered world of birds! You've probably never been this close to birds before
This unique bird adventure book for the whole family helps you to observe and identify garden birds, to better understand their fascinating way of life and to protect and effectively support them through targeted practical measures all allround the year.
Did you know, for example, that songbirds are excellent astronomers? They know without any calculation when the sun will rise and announce it daily through their songs. Listen carefully - with their morning concert they bring great mood into your day. Do you know the song of the bullfinch? Or do you know how to tell the swift and the swallow apart? Maybe you want to write with quill pens like Harry Potter, build a bird feeder, or just spend a morning watching the songbirds in your backyard from your own willow teepee?! Why not keep your own birding journal? In this book and on the accompanying website (birds.cadmos.de) you will also learn when to support which birds best with which food. We have put together a variety of interesting ideas for you and your family. Of course, you will find instructions in this book and on its website on how to turn your garden into a nature-oriented bird sanctuary.
With bonus pack: many additional tips and a large community of like-minded people on the website (birds.cadmos.de), print templates and interactive games.
